Art has always been an interest of mine. Growing up as a kid, my mother had influenced me in art through her work. She was never the best drawer or painter, but I figured out a long time ago that it is not about how well you draw, it is all about how you interpret and how you relate to the art in which it truly becomes art in your own mind and also is what makes it fascinating. Realistic drawing or paintings such as artist Rembrandt, show excellent attention to detail and exceptional drawing skills, but what really captivates me is paintings that take a few glances to really understand what the artists is trying to convey. Non-traditional artists, such as Salvador Dali have always made me say that this is truly unique and interesting or on the other hand a little too weird. The artwork above shows his famous melting clocks in the desert heat along with what can be interpreted as a sleeping horse with a clock as a saddle. Another look and you see a shut human eye and the peripheral outline of a human nose. You wonder how his dreams were based on his paintings. Wether you like or dislike a certain piece of art, I think most people can appreciate the meaning or creativity within the art.
