The Internets Impact

The Internet has made a dramatic change on how we live our lives today. It has not only increased productivity, but has given people instant access to just about everything within a matter of seconds. Sending posted mail is on its way out, and reading books, emails etc. have become even more of a demand and normal way of life. Education for example, has greatly benefited with the use of the Internet. It gives easier and much faster access to books, magazines, articles etc. for the student to use for study. The Internet has greatly benefited the student who is unable to attend a physical classroom, due to work or geographical location. Online degrees and online college classes were made possible. Students can develop a better product from using the Internet as a valuable resource for writing papers for example. Thousands of books are easily accessed without stepping into a library and spending hours searching. Programs such as Skype, allows the instructor to physically assist with questions regarding papers, projects etc. without physically being there. Another side of it that maybe people haven’t realized is that is has saved resources such as paper. A paper that was written by a student may not necessarily have to print it and hand it in. We now have the tools to just email straight to the instructor. And just for the sheer fact that it saves hours of travel and time is just as valuable, especially for the working student.
